The study estimates a margin of improvement that will lead to an increase in profit and welfare of farmers. He highlights the need for large scale producers and processers, increase in knowledge of best practices, wider access to improved seeds, and expansion of processing capacity that comply with high quality standards among measures that could promote the Ethiopian-German castor oil market. With so much potential and room for growth, Tropentag 2015 has not only provided figures and statistics but concrete ideas, suggestions and recommendations for the development of agricultural production in the tropics.
