Louisa has already lived in and travelled to many countries: originally from Hong Kong,
where she also finished her bachelor and worked as a Project Coordinator in a Community Supported Agriculture, she moved to Germany two years ago to study ‘Sustainable Resource Management’ at the University of Munich. However, after collecting the data for her Master Thesis in China on sustainable apple production, she is now doing an internship at the FiBL in Switzerland and will be living in Frick in Switzerland until at least December this year. Last summer she has done an internship in Camerun and there developed the wish to engage more in grass-root based changes for development and would like to return to Sub-Saharan Africa after finishing her Master.
She sees the Tropentag as a last but very good opportunity to get insights on the present trends and topics in agricultural research for development before entering the real work life. Due to her personal envolvement in community urban agricultural projects, this year’s topic of the conference is especially interesting to her.
