Vitalii Korol from Ukraine is a master student of Sustainable Resources Management in the Technical University of Munich. He participated in Tropentag 2013, and he is back as a senior reporter to share the previous experience with newcomers, and benefit from the opportunity to talk with professors and researchers that work in his research field, and are attending the conference this year. For him “Listening carefully what people are saying, and remembering” is important for responsible communication in sciences; and being a student reporter is a great opportunity to learn and improve this skill. Moreover, the idea of working in a new field with new people in a team in order to reach a common goal of reporting the research outcomes of people from different fields and countries in three intensive days using interviews, blogs, photo and video is a unique opportunity to develop teamwork skills and reflect it on his future career.
